上海市特殊儿童康复中心是隶属于上海市残疾人联合会的公益一类事业单位，成立于1999年，是上海市唯一市级公办综合性专业儿童康复机构。国家首批省三级残疾人康复中心、全国一类省级聋儿康复中心。是华东师范大学、上海中医药大学等多所高校的教学实践基地。
中心秉承全面康复理念，以“医教结合康复模式”为特色，主要开展特殊儿童医疗康复、教育康复、综合功能评估、康复科技和家庭支持模式研究，为本市康复机构提供培训、康复支持，为特殊儿童家长提供心理支持、普及康复理念等相关服务。是集医疗康复、教育康复、工程康复、社会康复为一体的综合性特殊儿童康复服务专业机构。
在党和政府重视和社会各界的关心支持下，中心历年被国务院残工委授予“残疾人之家”，并先后荣获全国“巾帼文明岗”“上海市文明单位”“上海市儿童工作白玉兰奖”“上海市花园单位”“上海市平安单位”“工人先锋号”，“上海市‘五四’集体奖章”以及“市级机关先进党支部”等荣誉称号。

Shanghai Rehabilitation Institute for the Exceptional Children (SRIEC) is a public welfare institution affiliated to Shanghai Disabled Persons' Federation, founded in 1999.SRIEC is the only municipal public comprehensive professional rehabilitation institution for children in Shanghai and the first batch of provincial tertiary rehabilitation centers for disabled persons and first-class provincial rehabilitation centers for deaf children. It is a teaching practice base for many universities such as East China Normal University and Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
SRIEC adheres to the concept of comprehensive rehabilitation and features a "medical-educational integrated rehabilitation model". It mainly carries out research on medical rehabilitation, educational rehabilitation, comprehensive functional assessment, rehabilitation technology and family support models for special children, provides training and rehabilitation support for rehabilitation institutions in the city, provides psychological support for parents of special children, and promotes rehabilitation concepts and other related services. It is a comprehensive professional institution for special children’s rehabilitation that integrates medical rehabilitation, educational rehabilitation, engineering rehabilitation and social rehabilitation.
Under the attention of the Party and the government and the care and support of all sectors of the society, SRIEC has been awarded the "Home for the Disabled" by the Disabled Works Committee of The State Council over the years, and has successively won the national "Women's Civilization Post", "Shanghai Civilized Unit", "Shanghai Magnolia Award for Children's Work", "Shanghai Garden Unit", "Shanghai Safe Unit", and "Worker Pioneer". "Shanghai 'May 4th' Collective Medal" and "Advanced Party Branch of municipal organs" and other honorary titles.
SRIEC will continue to adhere to the service purpose, better integrate technical resources, expand the scope of services, enrich the connotation of services, better serve the society and the majority of disabled friends.
